Jaci Hynes, LPC, LCDC

she/her

Jaci (pronounced like Jackie) is a Texas transplant of 17 years. She completed graduate school in December 2020, after navigating the pandemic from behind her computer screen. Jaci discovered her love for telehealth counseling as an ADHDer. Since then, Jaci has become an advocate for telehealth accessibility and the inter-state counseling compact in the state of Texas. Jaci finds telehealth is often favored by her Autistic and ADHD clients due to simpler transitions and the ability to be in their most comfortable environment.

Jaci specializes (and finds uninhibited joy) in working with Autistic and ADHD adults, transgender adults, and queer people.

The core tenet of Jaci’s work is around finding self-compassion within oneself. Jaci has long struggled with her own mental health in many phases of life - as a human, a mother, a queer person, as a partner, a fat person, and as a late diagnosed neurodivergent. Jaci finds this lived experience to complement her psychotherapeutic work well.

In her free time, you’ll typically find Jaci doing something creative - embroidery, planner art, digital drawing. Jaci lives with her spouse and 3 children, and her beloved Pittie, loyal Aussie, and chonky orange cat. Jaci loves travel, reading psychological thrillers, and playing nintendo with her kids. Jaci aspires to write non-fiction books and create therapy workbooks in the future.
